Bayern Munich are all set to host Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night as the UEFA Champions League enters it’s final stretch. After a largely underwhelming season with the Bavarians, Thomas Tuchel ‘s only hope of redemption will be through claiming silverware in Europe.
After painfully losing out on the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen and Xabi Alonso , Tuchel will be hellbent to secure progression over the Los Blancos. Ahead of the much anticipated tie, Bayern boss Tuchel has made a bold claim that has set Football Twitter on fire. With less than a day to go till kick-off, Tuchel insisted that Bayern forward Serge Gnabry will grab a goal against Real Madrid.
Despite the two sides having a near equal chance of progressing to the next round, Madrid have clearly enjoyed historical superiority over their opponents in this competition.
Serge Gnabry will score tomorrow. I don't know how, but it will happen. Thomas Tuchel said in a press conference ahead of the Champions League semi-final clash

Real Madrid have won 12 games while Bayern have managed to secure 11 victories throughout the years in the competition against the other. 3 games have ended in draws.
A fired up and confident Joshua Kimmich told the press that he was ready to give it his all on Tuesday night against Real Madrid in the UCL. After enduring a stop-start season under Thomas Tuchel this year, the midfielder now believes that his club can inspire a turnaround of their fortunes.
He also stated that he can perform the same duties while being deployed as a right-back. Despite Tuchel leaving at the end of the season, a Champions League trophy might just be the missing piece that fixes everything.
I think it's still possible to prevail against the best teams in Europe. We're a long way off from winning the UCL, but the chance and desire is there. Joshua Kimmich said in an interview prior to the game vs Real Madrid

After a contrasting season for Bayern, Kimmich has been linked to several clubs out of which Manchester City, Liverpool and PSG are a few. Despite the confidence from Bayern, a quick look at the head-to-head record shows that Bayern have been on the losing side in their last 3 meetings in the competition.
